Created by people who are or have been incarcerated and advocates, this booklet offers accessible information about patient rights and the laws that protect them, along with how to ask questions, self-advocate, and make informed healthcare decisions while in prison. This booklet will be available in Spanish in 2026. Proceeds support the distribution of a free copy to an incarcerated person inside a California women’s facility. This booklet was created with the intention to support people incarcerated in California women's facilities; laws, policies, and regulations reflect California state law as of 2025.
